Karim Rezaei was born in 1316 Iranian calendar (1937) in “Landera” village in the Saqez region. After Khomeini’s jihad order against the oppressed Kurdish people and total military invasion to Kurdistan on 28.05.1358 Iranian calendar (19.08.1979), Kurdistan was conquered.  Sadegh Khalkhali was sent there as the ruler of Sharia. He committed many crimes in different cities of Kurdistan, including Saqez. After settling in the Saqez garrison, he ordered the arrest and torture of the defenseless and civilian people of the city. Twenty one people were arrested on 29.05.1358 Iranian calendar (20.08.1979), one of them was Karim Rezaei. He was the father of four children. He was arrested with great violence and disrespect in front of his children. Finally, his death sentence was carried out on 02.06.1358 Iranian calendar (24.08.1979) in the Square of second battalion of Saqez. It should be noted that Karim Rezaei was a gendarmerie officer at the time of his arrest and was only 42 years old.
