Biography of my brother and life partner Hamed Mohammadi known as (Hamed Sur) a political cadre of the Komala Party and Communist Party of Iran
Hamed was born in 1962 in Bashbolagh village in Saqez region to a feudal family. He finished his primary education in this village. To continue his education, he went to Saqez and studied in the middle and high school in the city of Saqez. In 1979 our family moved to the city of Mashhad. He continued his education there. He graduated with the best grade. Considering that our family environment was political during the Shah’s reign, and considering reading the books of Samad Behrangi and other political writers and being familiar with political issues and after overthrowing the Shah’s government and the opening the political space temporarily, Hamed started relationships with political organizations. He started political activity with Peykar organization and actively participated in political rallies and discussions. Due to the regime’s brutal attack on universities under the name of Cultural Revolution and at the same time with the military attack on Kurdistan, he returned to Saqez. He participated in the resistance very actively along with the people facing the regime’s attacks. He was very active in organizing the mass movement of people in other cities of Kurdistan supporting the resistance in Marivan during the regime’s attack on the city of Marivan.
After a while, he returned to Mashhad and moved to Tehran again, where he started to work and at the same time continued his political activities. Due to the brutal and all-out invasion of the government, he returned to Saqez and began working secretly as an organizational figure. Finally in 1982, he joined the Komala Peshmerga and started working as a political and military activist. He participated in several operations and specifically participated in guerrilla warfare in the city of Mahabad and created an epos with other Komala Peshmergas. He was wounded in two operations. He was besieged by the enemy forces alone in one of the operations. He saved himself bravely. Due to his popular spirit and social attitudes he continued working as a political cadre of the region “Faizullah Beigi” in the organization. He began a political rally along with several of his comrades, Mohammad Khalili, Parviz Shafei, and Rahman Nejat in the region and was known as a popular man in the region. He worked in the area for a long time. People of the area consulted with him even about the problems of their private lives, and he was also a helper. Unfortunately, he was killed by a mercenary on 31.06.1365 Iranian calendar (22.09.1986), as Hamed was resting and sleeping in the village of Vari Nani, between Saqez and Marivan, in a village house. The killer was the owner of the house. His body was taken away by the mercenaries the day after and remained in the Saqez morgue for a week. His body was not handed over to his family and was buried in an unknown place by the authorities. Despite his parents’ request for the delivery of the body, the authorities did not show even his burial place, and unfortunately, he was buried anonymously like thousands of other victims. It should be noted that his child, who was born 20 days ago, never got to know him. The child who has never seen his father and has no memories, is continuing his doctoral studies.
My mother visited him once and tried to bring him back to normal life, but my brother did not accept. As my mother returned to Tehran from Saqez, the bus carrying my mother was surrounded and she was arrested. She was imprisoned without any reason for seven months in Tehran even without a visit. This was in a situation where my father came to Tehran to track down my mother and he also had an accident and was hospitalized for a few days. I was in prison at that time too.
I would like to emphasize an interesting point: In Kurdistan, families whose children joined the ranks of Peshmerga were pressured by the regime to bring back their children. My mother had gone to my brother to bring him back. The result was seven months imprisonment for her.
Memories of admiration to all the comrades of the victims of freedom and the path of socialism.
