The Islamic Republic of Iran from the beginning of its establishment, launched an unprecedented, explicit and brutal military campaign targeting the Kurds. Launching military operation was disastrous for the Kurds and resulted in devastation of villages, displacement, and mass executions.

Thousands of innocent young and elderly men and women lost their lives either in military assaults, war crimes, or were sentenced to death in official and non-official prisons, without access to access to impartial courts.

On august 27th, 1979, almost 1 year after establishment of the Islamic Republic 11 young men and women in Sna, capital of Kurdistan province, publicly were sentenced to capital punishment and the sentence was carried out at the airport. These innocents were sentenced not in regular, advocate, civilized, judge chaired courts with juries and attorneys, but in 5 minutes so called revolutionary trials. The crimes often were committed in front of cameras, journalists and the photos of the crimes were published globally.

We are politically and financially independent. Our common ground is that we are relatives to the victims aiming to pursue justice for our beloved ones. The innocent victims that were subjected to imprisonment, torture, execution, disappearance in violation to basic human rights.

We aim for establishing a factfinding, information gathering, trusted, document-based evidence, justice seeking center. We aim for seeking answers to never answered question. We want to know what happened to our beloved ones? Why it happened? And who were the perpetrators responsible of the atrocities.
This site is expected to be used as one of the tools we utilize for achieving our objectives.

As a second step, we aim for pursing justice. We strive to file fact, evidence, and document based judicial cases (referring to individuals or group of individuals) at national, regional, and international judicial disciplines. We aim for holding the perpetrators accountable and for preventing these atrocities to be repeated.

We, relatives to the victims, are the most trustable source of facts, evidence and documents. It’s of great importance to try to gather the existing evidence before they are buried and erased from memories of the relatives.

We welcome you in joining us and for helping us to be the voice of those innocent souls in Eastern Kurdistan, from Mako to Ilam, who become the victims of atrocities since establishment of the Islamic republic of Iran.
