Karim Haji Mirzee, born on April 21. 1949, in the village of Babariz, was the child of Ibrahim and Talaat. He completed his education with a degree in English language and began his career as an English teacher. Karim had five children, consisting of two daughters and three sons.

Following the revolution in 1979, Karim joined Komele, a Marxist organization. Due to his political beliefs, he was arrested while teaching in a classroom at school. He endured five months of torture and inhumane treatment at Enqelab prison in Sannandaj. Later, he was transferred to Qazal Hesar prison in Karaj, which was 400 kilometers away, along with other political prisoners. They were all unlawfully convicted and faced execution without the presence of legal representation or a jury. Karim spent seven months in Qazal Hesar, during which he had several visits from his family. It was during this period that his youngest child was born.

During the family’s last visit to the prison, they were informed that Karim had been moved to Evin prison. This relocation was a common practice for prisoners who were scheduled to be executed. Unfortunately, Karim was executed on February 20, 1984. The family received news of his death eighteen days after the execution had taken place. To their surprise, Karim had already been buried in Beheshteh Zahra cemetery without their knowledge.
