In early hours of the morning on Friday March 17, 2023 Kurdish political prisoner Mr Moheyddin Ebrahimi from the town of Oshnavieh was executed in Orumiyeh prison.
His occupation was carrying goods across the border, and he was the father of two disabled children.
He was wounded and captured by revolutionary guards in 2018. He was subjected to torture and was accused of collaborating with KDPI and was sentenced to death.
In 2019 he was acquitted by the Supreme Court, but intelligence services raised another case against him with new evidence and after a speedy trial Mr. Ebrahimi along with five other defendants were executed.
He was yesterday moved to solitary confinement in order to carry out his sentence. His family had gathered in front of the prison and was protesting his sentence.
Since the upraising during the last two months the government has carried out 128 executions.
His memory may cherish forever.
