Four Kurdish prisoners were executed on January 29, 2024, in Qezel Hasar prison in Karaj. The executed individuals were accused of having connections with Israel and being members of an illegal political party. Their execution was authorized by the high court in the country. The victims included Mohammad Framarzi (29 years old), Mohsin Mazloum (30 years old), Pezhman Fathi (29 years old), and Wafa Azarbar (27 years old). They had been arrested since the summer of 2022 and were initially held in Urmia prison. There are reports of torture and coerced confessions, with little or no effective legal representation during their trial. The Nemiran center condemns the barbaric execution and expresses condolences to the families of the victims during this difficult time.
