Parham Parvari, a 26 years old young man, is born in the Kurdish city of Saqqez. He is the only child of his family. After finishing high school and compulsory military service, he resided in Tehran. He has acquired some sports awards in swimming and advanced to swimming instructor. Some swimming professional athletes emphasize that he had a formative role in coaching people in this sport in Kurdistan. He was arrested in Tehran by the security forces during the first week of uprising in Iran. When he was driving a car, he was stopped by the thug troops of the security forces dressed in civilian clothes. His laptop and his car were confiscated.
His family he had no information about his fate. Some days later, he called his family and told them that he had been detained in Evin Prison in Tehran and being tortured. A relative of the family confirmed that the prison authorities have demanded bail for releasing him from prison. Parham’s family prepared the bail and engaged lawyers. But the Judiciary authorities rejected these lawyers. They told his family that they had taken public lawyer for Parham, but no lawyer had met him up to date. Parham has informed his family that his trial had taken place on 9/11/2022. The trial has run without lawyer, he has been accused of “fighting god” which means death sentence during the Islamic law of Iran.
Muzaffar Parvari, Parhma’s father, has announced that his son has been accused of “fighting god”. He appeals to the human rights organizations to be Parham’s voice. According to the basic law of Iran, a political detainee has the right to choose a lawyer. But Parham has been refused this right. Human rights analysts believe that he was just arrested and sentenced by court because the regime tries to intimidate the protesters. He had not participated in any demonstration.
His fellows value him as vigilant and lovable person. He is a social oriented person in the society and is respectful athlete.
Let us be a strong voice for him.
