In early hours of the morning on Friday March 17, 2023 Kurdish political prisoner Mr Moheyddin Ebrahimi from the town of Oshnavieh was executed in Orumiyeh prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His occupation was carrying goods across the border, and he was the father of two disabled children. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was wounded and captured by revolutionary guards in 2018. He was subjected to torture and was accused of collaborating with KDPI and was sentenced to death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2019 he was acquitted by the Supreme Court, but intelligence services raised another case against him with new evidence and after a speedy trial Mr. Ebrahimi along with five other defendants were executed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was yesterday moved to solitary confinement in order to carry out his sentence. His family had gathered in front of the prison and was protesting his sentence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the upraising during the last two months the government has carried out 128 executions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His memory may cherish forever.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
